ask-bold-aggron:

Aggron, being the heavy sleeper that he is, didn’t stir from his slumber as Beth caressed his head. The large Pokemon still snored softly, however there was something that was disturbed by the Kangaskhan.

His thick tail seemed to be be curled around something that could have easily mistaken for a grey rock, till the ‘rock’ raised it’s head. The small blue skinned dragon put his stubby arms over steel type’s heavy tail and let out a long yawn. The Bagon pulled himself halfway over the tail before spotting the cave’s guest.

“…” He stared wide eyed up at Beth, slowly sinking back down into the safety of the Aggron’s tail, letting out a soft growl at the stranger.

Beth smiled at the sleeping iron giant as she gently stroked the top of his iron helmet-like head, stopping suddenly as she felt something jagged graze her hand.

Gingerly she traces her claws along the ridge of his broken horn, a worried frown spreading across her face. “Oh, you poor baby.” She couldn’t believe that she hadn’t noticed earlier, she must have been more worn out than she had first thought.

She had gone back to caressing Aggron’s head when she heard something growl close by. She quickly looked around in the general direction she thought she heard the noise had come from before moving to stand on her feet for a better view, her eyes completely passing over the small dragon half hidden near Aggron’s tail.

ask-bold-aggron:

“You’re wel-…” For a moment, he stared at her back before tilting his head back against the wall and closing his eyes. Aggron knew that Beth wouldn’t leave him alone that easily… or was it that he knew her motherly side wouldn’t leave him alone. Either way he was happy to get back to sleep again, hopefully she didn’t snore too loudly. “Good night, I guess.” He mumbled tiredly as he drifted of to sleep.

Beth stirred in her sleep mumbling about how nice it was not to be woken up before she was ready, before propping herself up with her hands. With a slight yawn she stood up and stretched. She hadn’t had such a good night’s sleep in a while, what with taking care of two children, one of which was nocturnal and the other diurnal.

“Aggron…?” She yawned again. Beth stood there for a moment looking at the metal monster, he seemed rather thin and…pathetic. An urge to rush over and baby him began to well up in her, though she knew he probably wouldn’t appreciate her treating him like a child, most grown men didn’t.

But still…

The Kangaskhan slowly made her way across the cave, over to the sleeping steel type where she knelt next to him and began to gently caress his head. She couldn’t help it, really. Kangaskhan were the ‘Parent’ Pokemon after all.

So she just sat there, gently stroking the Aggron’s head as she began to hum softly. She knew there wasn’t much she could do for him unless he wanted her help, but maybe this would comfort him a bit.

ask-bold-aggron:

“It was my choice, not hers… she even told me that it didn’t bother her that I was sleeping around.” A deep, rumbling growl escaped his throat. “I thought about it too much, let the guilt get to me… and told her to go find someone better to be with.” He glanced at Beth. “So if you were thinking it was somehow your fault, it’s not.”

“…Aggron, I’m sorry. I just…” she sighed and glanced away from him before shifting again. “Thank you for letting me stay, good night.” Beth had laid down with her back to the steel dinosaur. On top of her already being exhausted, she felt horrible and guilty, even though Aggron had said it wasn’t her fault, she still felt like she was partially to blame. As she lay there she made a promise to herself to help Aggron get through this rough time, even if she could only stop by every so often to make sure he wasn’t starving himself.

ask-bold-aggron:

“I said that I’m fine…” Aggron sighed and rolled his eyes. “Guess I’m not a very good lair, I… it’s just…” He paused and turned his head to look out of the cave. “… Me and my mate… Separated. And no I do not want to talk about it… And I don’t need a hug either.”

“Hun, I’d hate to break it to you, but you’re a worse liar than my little Jamie is.” She gave him a knowing, motherly smile, but it quickly gets replaced by an expression of shock at the mention of his mate and him breaking up.

“Oh…no, I don’t think a hug would help much…I’m sorry, Aggron. Do you…Um, did she say why?

She looked down at the floor. “Sorry, I shouldn’t be prying.”
